the last day of the cinci international cx fest finished off yesterday. The c1 status attracted a few fresh guys like bjorn and danny summerhill. The heat was once again in full effect, 85+ degrees. While kristen was out rippin an 8th in a tough womens field, brian and i went out for an abbreviated warmup. We both felt the effects of the previous two days of racing, brian especially w/ the pileup on sat. Brian says "it's only an hour, it cant hurt that bad right?" I said "careful now". I think i was right. The course was a little different than last year, but not much. The start was now on pavement, into a pretty quick left hand, sweeping left then right onto a an off camber straight. I lined up behind tilly and tonkin, who i decided should now be called "diesel" rather than "caveman". It mostly clicked at the start for once this weekend as i followed tonkin into about 12th or so. I thought it a great start til i looked a bit ahead to see brian up in 3rd or 4th. I did my best to follow tonkin, dangling a bit. He made contact w/ the leaders before popping a little and i latched back on. Brian went down on a corner and dropped is chain. We went by and he dug in to latch on. Spent the remainder of the race w/ tonkin, brian, and adam mcgrath. Mcgrath went down with a few to go and it was the three of us battling for 9th. I was spent and did little work but tonkin nearly pulled us up to parbo. Brian dropped off with a quarter lap to go as tonkin and i battled it out and tried to catch parbo. I had no intention of pimping tonkin as he'd pulled me around most of the race, but he made sure there was no chance as he sprinted away from me on the stretch, nearly catching parbo. Ended up 10th on the day. Overall a good weekend. Learned some things and there is a ton of room for improvement. I nearly doubled my uci points and i should be sittin with about 50 now. That should get me a pretty solid callup at most races. Looks like a weekend of wedding planning and some good training before im back at it at the first of the usgp series in louisville. um lets see i randomly painted my finger nails the other day and it ended up really bad. Um i think im going to try to like... Write a script for this book im reading, or just write a script or start another book im definatley not going to finish...

the book is called LUNA Read it, its by this one person whoapos;s name escapes me atm.

anyway im done with my science notecards thats why im at the library but i got bored and this IS a computer so yeah like why nnot?? lol um yeah ill be like yeah and yeah

and like yeah and yeah and yeah i should put this on live journal...wait i probably am since i have the time...o but i feel bad because my grandma is out there waiting for me to finish my homework so i can do my other homeowkr back home..ummm ill upload it there then yeah lol. :]

Im super uber duper tired now.

today was real hot. Horribly hot. Hot as hotcake hotline hotmail whatever.

today was quite high too i suppose. I think i hvnapos;t laughed that hard for a real long time. Leong has really funny antics (: she is now zhang lang xiao qiang and kok bee bee (y) and she does indian dance moves too.

spent around 8 hours on pw. Then we went to meet sam for dinner at plaza sing. Ate at ajisen.

iapos;m currently super broke and iapos;m heavily in debt hurray. I shall have lots of fun saving money to repay my debts hurhur ): how i wish people owe me money. Such wishful thinking huh.

The media keeps talking about Bill Ayers as a domestic terrorist. Which got me thinking, in a post 9/11 world... How does a domestic terrorist just go walking around having "meet the candidate" tea parties?

Does anyone know if Bill Ayers was ever convicted of any crimes (he had to have been, given the reports of their bomb making and exploding, right)? All I could find was one very brief mention of federal charges being dropped do to "prosecutorial misconduct."

I wasnapos;t much younger then Obama when Bill Ayers and his friends were on their rampage. Growing up in Kent (and getting a year reminder that many young men really thought they were fighting for their lives when protesting the Vietnam war) I kind of get why someone could become so radicalized. On the other hand, how does someone so radicalized just settle down and live a normal and peaceful life as Bill Ayers seems to have carved out in Chicago.

Some of you who read my blog are old enough to remember the Weathermen. What do you remember? Is this a simple issue of a loop hole that let a bad guy get away? Or is the story and history behind all this far more complicated (like the shootings at Kent State were much more complicated then the media covers every year). Tell me what you remember.
